The Tsarist Empire of Gishabrun (ARCHIVE)

2009

On the 23rd of June, the earliest incarnation of Gishabrun began when the Tsardom of Maya Kravat (meaning "My Bed" in Russian) was founded, with its leader being Tsar Kuri I. The Tsardom originally consisted of the Tsar's bed, completely surrounded by the Dominion of Canada, but the borders later expanded to include the Tsar's whole room because of pressure from the nearby micronational Principality of Annina Kravat ("Anna's Bed") that was founded a few months after the Tsardom.

2010

1. On the 5th of April, Tsar Kuri I created the national flag and coat of arms to represent the

Tsardom in Foreign Affairs and to enable the capture of other lands. About a month later, the Tsardom captured a small (300 square centimetres) area, completely surrounded by Annina Kravat, called "The Furnace Strip" because the captured territory was a furnace vent. This action angered Anna I, the then Princess of Annina Kravat, leading her to declare war on the Tsardom. This was the beginning of what would be known as The Furnace War. Throughout the few minor skirmishes, the Maya Kravat Army stood its' ground and eventually forced the Annina Kravatian troops out of the Furnace Strip. A few days after its' embarassing defeat, Annina Kravat decided to join the Tsardom, making the Tsardom an Empire.

2. A few weeks later, the Tsar captured an island in a nearby river ("The Wild Isle") that used to

be almost untouched by humans until a group of people with excavators showed up to fix a problem with the river, and as a result destroyed all the wilderness on the island, prompting the Tsar to capture it so as to protect it from such disasters reoccurring. The island was declared a National Park and is currently undergoing a natural regeneration project.

3. A few days after that, the Council decided to change the name of the empire to "Gishabrun"

(which is derived from the word "achievement" in an invented language, Vulu-Vulu), because the empire now occupied much more than just a bed.

4. On the 26th of June, the Tsar paid a friendly visit to the Russian Federation and captured a

small, grassy area, which was declared a National Park, as was another, larger piece of land captured the following day. Upon his return to North America, His Imperial Majesty Tsar Kuri I decided to expand the borders of the Empire to include his whole property.

After a few small battles, the Empire decided to give 5/6ths of the bench to The Unnamed Empire, keeping the rest for Gishabrun. The Krai was declared a regular park, and the ancient willow was declared a National Monument. Eight days later, the Empire captured the entire Bench, therefore conquering the Unnamed Empire (since they had no other land claims) and HIM Tsar Kuri I claimed the title of Emperor of the Unnamed Empire. Later, a peace treaty was signed as Cyril I extended the Unnamed Empire by claiming his property.

They were made of circular pieces of paper, laminated and printed with colourful designs. The the value of the Brun is equal to P/10*CAD, where P=total population of Gishabrun (including Autonomous Regions). Therefore, 1 Brun = $2.10 CAD, and 1 Gil = $0.21 CAD.

Overseas Subjects – citizens not residing on Gishabruni land due to their oblast or Autonomous Region being refused by the House of Heads as per the Territories Act (2011) (which states that land must only become a part of Gishabrun if it is deemed mappable by the Department of Geography of the KIOWAK), which would otherwise have been accepted.

15. On the 16th of May, 2011, the Tsar of Gishabrun reformed the Peerage Creation Act (August 13, 2010), from being a list of titles to award by the Tsar or Elite Duma to anybody alive, to being a list of titles automatically granted to Gishabruni citizens once they reach a certain percentage of Meritocratic points as compared to the highest or lowest-ranked citizen. If the citizen’s rating was zero or above, their rating was compared as such: x/y as a percent, x being the meritocratic rating of the person involved, and y being the meritocratic rating of the Tsar – the highest at that moment in time. For example, if x=100 and y=200, this person has a percent rating of 50, which may be found on the chart below. However, if said person’s rating was below zero, y is replaced by the lowest meritocratic rating at the time. The table is as follows:

Tsar-Tsaritsa = 100
